A native resident of Indiana, Lynzi found her calling in the special education world caring for a young girl with Autism while attending High School. Upon graduation from High School, Lynzi continued caring for this young woman while pursuing her Bachelor of Social Work. Obtaining her bachelor’s degree, she started her career in Social Work where she advocated and cared for a multitude of children with diverse needs and backgrounds. After a few years, Lynzi decided to follow in her grandfather and father’s footsteps and serve the country by joining the United States Army. Lynzi served in the Air Defense Artillery branch, where she completed a tour to South Korea, and a Combat deployment in Afghanistan where she was awarded her Combat Action Badge. After returning from her Combat Deployment, Lynzi and her husband, Scott, brought their wonderful daughter Thea into the world and at this point Lynzi decided to complete her time in service Honorably. While pursuing her master’s in education, she decided to return to Social Work in Washington. Her husband’s job brought them to Oklahoma where she finished her Masters and Student Teaching at Minco Highschool. Over the past five years she has had the pleasure of doing something she is so passionate about and looks forward to the years to come.
