Thank you Jason Little!!

Thank you Jason Little!!

By Kevin Sims

Minco Public School Superintendent

The end of an era at Minco is coming too soon. For the last eleven years, Jason Little has taught and coached here at Minco.  He has coached four teams to the state tournament in fast pitch and got close with a few others. Coach Little coached baseball for several years and won the most exciting baseball game in high school I have ever seen. He also won several district championships in that sport.

Coach Little's accomplishments as a coach are not merely weighed by the number of trophies and hardware he has won.  I have seen how he works with his teams and students. Jason Little has been a mentor to so many.  He has a special way of working with those students who have had great challenges in their lives. Mr. Little has a place in his heart for those kids who have had difficult times. It is those attributes that make Jason Little a great coach and teacher.  I promise you the plaques will fade, but the impact he has had on students’ lives will live on for many years.  In today’s time, there are not too many Coach Little’s out there.  We will always appreciate him for how he has been a rock-solid man in the lives of students.

Coach Little will be taking his talents to El Reno next year. We wish him all the best and will certainly miss him in the softball dugout next year.  Coach Little thank you for everything you have done for Minco Public Schools and our students.  Your legacy will be here for many years to come.  Godspeed, my friend!!
